When players cannot behave in online games, they are locked out by the developers with an account ban. Has this ever happened to you?

These are the reasons for bans: In order to maintain (more or less) order in their online games, developers establish rules that all players should follow (ideally).
On one hand, they are necessary to ensure that the game’s rules are adhered to and all participants play fairly. On the other hand, they should ensure that there is a reasonable tone between players (whether both work out is, of course, another matter). Prohibited activities in most online games usually include:
- Cheating
- Exploiting exploits
- Botting
- Toxicity, flaming, and harassment towards other players
- Intentional losing or AFK during matches
- False reporting of other players
- Account sharing
- Buying or selling accounts
- Real money trading (RMT) and gold buying, etc.
The rules differ depending on the game genre, but the final punishment is always the same: ban. Some are temporary, while others are permanent. Permanent bans always mean losing the earned content that is on your account.
In recent years, various types of bans have emerged. For example, there are shadow bans where cheaters can no longer find matches or get matched only with other cheaters.
In this survey, however, we only want to hear about the “actual” bans that have happened to you (or not).
