The developers of Battlefield 6 have adjusted the most popular mode, ensuring that matches end sooner. However, players do not understand the issue and would prefer the opposite.
Which mode has been adjusted? As the developers of Battlefield 6 announce on X.com, the Conquest mode has been adjusted. According to the post, the developers noticed that many matches do not end through the natural process, meaning that a team’s tickets are at 0, but that the match time runs out.
To ensure that more matches end through players and not through the timer, they have adjusted the mode accordingly.

Changes that not everyone will like
What exactly has been changed? The developers of Battlefield 6 have reduced the number of tickets on many maps. They announce the following changes:
- Siege of Cairo reduced from 1000 to 900 tickets
- Empire State reduced from 1000 to 900 tickets
- Iberian Offensive reduced from 1000 to 900 tickets
- New Sobek reduced from 1000 to 900 tickets
- Liberation Peak reduced from 1000 to 800 tickets
- Manhattan Bridge reduced from 1000 to 800 tickets
- Operation Firestorm reduced from 1000 to 700 tickets
- Mirak Valley reduced from 1000 to 700 tickets
The aim of the changes is for players to finish the match and not let the time run out. However, this change is not seen as positive by the players.
How are players reacting to the change? On X.com, many players are complaining in the comments about the change. They argue that instead of reducing the tickets, the time players have to complete rounds could have been increased. After all, the game’s intent is to have balanced rounds without a clear winner, where fights continue until the last ticket.
With the change, the round duration would decrease to about 20 minutes, while players still remember conquest rounds with over 40 minutes of gameplay in Battlefield 3 and 4. They do not understand why long rounds are supposed to be a problem, and would prefer even longer rounds.
For veterans of Battlefield 6, a round can last long, as long as it is balanced. However, the fact that developers are now shortening all matches does not sit well with players.
