Two of the most popular shooter players on Twitch are Shroud and DrDisrespect. Both are currently playing the new mode “Firestorm” in Battlefield 5 and have small jabs for each other. Who is the better player?
This is Shroud: The streamer Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek is considered one of the best shooter players on Twitch. However, after an accident with his scooter he has a handicap: His keyboard arm is broken.
Nevertheless, Shroud continues to stream, currently having a fantastic run on Twitch. Since Apex Legends skyrocketed in February, Shroud has been the hottest streamer on Twitch, and his channel is growing the fastest. He seems to want to take advantage of the moment.
At the moment he is playing Battlefield 5 Firestorm and impresses even there – despite his broken arm.

How the little teasing started: In a new clip, Shroud has now taken aim at DrDisrespect, who is also playing in Firestorm.
The Doctor claimed it took him six hours to achieve his first victory in Battlefield 5 Firestorm. The clear message: “I am better at Battlefield 5 than him and … hey, my arm is broken. Just putting it out there. “
This is how the Doctor reacts: The fellow streamer watches it live and then has one of his feared, acted out outbursts of anger, in which he slams the table and angrily disappears off-screen.
A little later, DrDisrespect is back live with his explanation.
The difference, he says, is clearly the stream snipers. Those are people who deliberately hunt a streamer and use information from their Twitch stream:
- He himself, DrDisrespect, has had serious killer stream snipers who hunted him down and wanted to kill him
- Shroud’s stream snipers are all fanboys who run at him unarmed and hug him because he was such a great pro gamer for Cloud 9 and never won anything there
The Doctor apparently also finds it amusing that Shroud injured himself on a scooter. A “scooter” does not seem to be a serious means of transport for the macho streamer.
Who really knows how much of it is played and how much is authentic. Both are certainly ambitious.
Shroud, on the other hand, simply considers DrDisrespect to be “too slow”, which is why the slower shooter Battlefield 5 would suit him well. The Doctor plays “methodically”.
The “Macho” version of cooperation
What’s behind it: Both streamers are entertainers and offer their fans something to be amused about – in a form of playful rivalry.
The target audiences of both players overlap. If you know Shroud, you know who DrDisrespect is and vice versa:
- Shroud is clearly the better shooter player
- DrDisrespect is the big showman of Twitch, who plays a specific role and maintains his macho image.

This rivalry on Twitch between the two is their form of “cooperation”, as is common among influencers, to increase reach and entertain the fans.
Both remain in their roles and are geared towards competition and “Who is the best?”.
Who really knows how much of it is played and how much is authentic. Both are certainly ambitious.
