Battlefield 5 solves one of its most annoying problems since the launch. The problematic in-game currency Company Coins has finally been fixed.
What happened? As the developers announced via the official Twitter account of Battlefield 5, the inconsistencies with the Company Coins are finally a thing of the past. They have finally got the ongoing issues with the in-game currency under control.
Through a server-side update, all players who have reached the maximum level of 50 should be able to continue earning Company Coins. They thank the fans for their patience.

What are the Company Coins? These are an in-game currency that can only be earned through playing. With it, you can buy different cosmetic items for weapons, character, or vehicles and customize them.
What was the problem with the Company Coins? Players received no additional Company Coins once they reached the highest rank, level 50, in Battlefield 5. This problem had existed since the launch of the title and affected more and more players as more fans reached the maximum level.
Thus, numerous players missed out on a lot of in-game currency that could have been used to purchase additional cosmetics. More and more players expressed their dissatisfaction on Reddit, in forums, and on social media. After all, visual customization is popular with many players.

Especially when it became known that EA originally wanted to introduce the Battlefield Coins, a real money currency, on January 17, the anger grew. Because the Battlefield Coins are also intended for cosmetic items and were supposed to come now, even though there are problems with the in-game currency. Accusations of greed for profit were raised.
This is how the developers reacted: DICE took the criticism to heart. They rolled out a fix that had already resolved the issues for level 50 players – but not for all affected players.
In addition, they decided with EA to postpone the introduction of the real money currency until the problems with the Company Coins are resolved. First, all players should have the opportunity to earn in-game currency without issues and buy cosmetics with it, before the Battlefield Coins are introduced.

With the latest update, the issue seems to have finally been resolved once and for all. The path for the real money currency is now also clear. However, when it will be introduced is still unknown.
This is how the fans react: Some players seem a bit skeptical – they want to wait and see if the Company Coins can really be earned consistently and in the right amounts. But the majority of reactions are positive. Players are happy that DICE has finally solved this annoying problem.
Many are also wondering how the “compensation” will turn out. Because DICE had promised that all players who have been affected by this issue would be taken into account and compensated retroactively with Company Coins. When this will happen is not yet known.
