After Season 6 took you underground to facilities in Scotland with the map “Secret”, Season 7 is all about a desert landscape.
Battlefield 2042: Season 7 – Here are the new maps
What kind of new map will this be? With Season 7, Battlefield 2042 will receive a new map called Haven. The focus of Haven is the city “El Alicanto”, located in the midst of the searing hot Atacama Desert.
The gameplay focus of the map is on urban warfare, so you will really be in the center of a city with battles between houses and shops. For example, a gas station and the city center play an important role on the map.
According to community manager Tom Straatman, the design of the map is inspired by some maps that Battlefield veterans should still remember, including Arica Harbor (Bad Company 2), Strike at Karkand (Battlefield 2), and Amiens (Battlefield 1).

Which old map is getting a special appearance? Anyone who plays Battlefield 2042 extensively will be familiar with the map “Hourglass”. However, the desert map no longer looks the same as it did at its original first release, as it has since been overhauled by the developers.
Before the overhaul, there was an area on the map with a large stadium where players could engage in intense battles away from vehicles. However, the stadium was removed from the map during the overhaul.
With Season 7, the stadium from “Hourglass” returns, but it will not be added as part of the old map, rather as a completely new, standalone map. The focus of the map will still be on soldier combat, and there will be no vehicles. The stadium will be a map solely for infantry.

What new weapons will Season 7 bring? The new season will give you access to a total of three new weapons, a new gadget, and a new vehicle.
- AK5C (Assault Rifle)
- SCZ-3 (Submachine Gun)
- DFR Strife
- Predator SRAW (Rocket Launcher)
- XFAD-4 Draugr (Vehicle)
The AK5C is a new assault rifle designed for close to medium-range combat. With the SCZ-3, you will have a new submachine gun that can be equipped with a drum magazine and excels at short distances.
As a third addition, the DFR-Strife will be included in your arsenal. The weapon features a belt feed, similar to what you find with LMGs, providing a high ammunition capacity before you need to reload. This is combined with the mobility of an assault rifle.
Additionally, there will be a new gadget that has a long history of success in various Battlefield games, the Predator SRAW. This is a wire-guided anti-vehicle rocket launcher.
For those of you who like to reach great heights, there will also be a new aircraft. The XFAD-4 Draugr is a bomber, equipped with EMP bombs and radar-guided missiles.
