On August 30, 2022, the 2nd season of Battlefield 2042 starts under the motto “Master of Arms”. It will feature a new map, four weapons, and an additional specialist.
First info about the 2nd season in Battlefield 2042 was received a few days ago. In a developer update, changes in the game were announced, including the return of the familiar class system.
Now, along with a gameplay trailer, there is also a specific date for when the new season in Battlefield 2042 starts: From August 30, 2022, it begins. The new content will include a new map, four weapons, and a specialist.

What new map will there be? The map is named “Stranded” and is located at a dried-up lake in Panama. The setting revolves around a drained container ship that serves as a center for illegal arms trade.
What new weapons are coming? A total of 4 new weapons will be added in the 2nd season. These are:
- AM40: Assault rifle: combines elements of an assault rifle with a submachine gun.
- PF51: Secondary weapon, well-suited for taking out multiple opponents at once
- AVANCYS: High-tech machine gun focused on mobility and modifications
- Concussion Grenade: Is intended to temporarily confuse nearby opponents
Who is the new specialist? The new specialist is named Charlie Crawford and will be a support character. Equipped with his Mounted Vulcan Stationary Minigun, he keeps opponents in check. Matching the new map and the motto of the season, he is an arms dealer who can directly supply his teammates with ammunition during their revive.
What vehicles will there be? Additionally, two new vehicles have been announced:
- POLARIS RZR
- EBLC-RAM
What’s coming next? As already announced in the developer update, Vault weapons can be unlocked in the new unlock feature “Assignments” and the maps “Renewal” and “Orbital” will receive revised versions in September and October.
