Finally, we know when the Open Beta of Battlefield 2042 starts. It begins next week. MeinMMO tells you when you can start.
When does the Beta start? According to the announcement, the Beta starts next week. Players with Early Access can start earlier, and two days later, the Beta will be available for all players. (via Twitter)
These are the official dates:
- The preload starts on October 5th at 9:00 AM.
- The early access phase starts on October 6th at 9:00 AM and runs until October 7th.
- From October 8th at 9:00 AM, all players can participate.
- The Beta ends on October 10th at 9:00 AM.

On which platforms will the Beta be available? As far as we know, the Beta will take place on all platforms where Battlefield 2042 is released: PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
Battlefield 2042 Open Beta – Early Access and Content
How can I play early? To participate in the early access phase and play earlier, you need to pre-order Battlefield 2042 or have an EA Play subscription.
What is included in the Beta? This is not yet known. So far, there has only been a technical alpha in which the map “Orbital” was playable. Beyond that, we do not know much, as the playtest was kept confidential and only information leaked out.
Whether the Beta will be more extensive than the Alpha playtest is still unknown. The official trailer indicates that it will likely also feature the Orbital map.
When could there be further information? According to insider Tom Henderson, a trailer and more information about the Beta should be released tomorrow, September 29th. The trailer appears to have been released earlier. More information may follow tomorrow or throughout the day.

The system requirements are also roughly what the Alpha demanded. However, there is a possibility that they may change before release.
When will Battlefield 2042 be released? The full game is set to be released on November 19th. The release was previously postponed; Battlefield 2042 was originally scheduled to be released on October 22nd.
According to developer DICE, the Corona pandemic caused unforeseen difficulties, and they would not be able to get the game into a release-ready state by the end of October.
The shooter is expected to be released in November on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. However, owners of a PS4 or Xbox One will have to settle for some differences compared to the newer consoles. This is likely also the case with the Beta.
