A new trailer for Battlefield 2042 has just gone online. The new gameplay video showcases, among other things, 3 of the new maps in the game.
This is the trailer: The trailer was released on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at 5:00 PM on YouTube. The video shows some gameplay scenes – among other things, the wingsuit is finally seen in action.
Otherwise, there is explosive action with helicopters, airstrikes, zip-line attacks, and plenty of gunfights. However, the most interesting point is as follows: The trailer gives you insight into 3 of the new maps from Battlefield 2042.

These are the maps: Overall, you can catch short glimpses of the following maps in the trailer:
- Renewal
- Breakaway
- Discarded
“Discarded” is a map located in India, where you fight through rundown shipwrecks. Storms can influence the events.
Breakaway impresses visually with shiny snow landscapes. The Arctic map is the largest of the newcomers and features not only ice and snow but also an explosive oil refinery.
Here we also see how the player from the trailer uses the wingsuit to dive into the battle and into the ice chasms to move quickly. You can find more about the specialists with the wingsuit here.
“Renewal” places you in the Egyptian desert. It is divided into a sandy, inhospitable area and a green meadow landscape adorned with lavish buildings.

What else does the trailer show? In the gameplay scenes, there are more interesting details visible alongside the maps. Among other things, the video shows that points for kills and assists are now directly displayed.
Additionally, the HUD has apparently undergone another revision compared to the beta.
