The new Battlefield 2042 was officially introduced with a trailer. Now many fans are waiting for the first real gameplay. In total, there were exactly 2 seconds of gameplay to see. During E3 2021, the gameplay reveal will follow on Sunday evening.
Battlefield 2042 will be the next first-person shooter from Electronic Arts. It will be a pure multiplayer title with large battles and support for up to 128 players in a match.
The official trailer introduced the game, but there hasn’t been much to see from the game so far.
What has been shown so far? The roughly 2 seconds of gameplay were not worth mentioning. You could briefly see the cockpit of a helicopter from the inside and then a helicopter in combat with two jet fighters near a city in the desert. A distorted “Mayday, Mayday” can also be heard.

EA has already given insight into the gameplay of Battlefield 2042 without showing it. The game world will be destructible again, and the maps will be affected by external events like tornadoes or sandstorms during matches. The developers call the weather influence “Levolution.” A leaker even claims that Battlefield 2042 will feature a battle royale mode.
Battlefield 2042 – When is the gameplay reveal?
Many viewers found the 2 seconds of gameplay insufficient and are now hoping for more gameplay. Even the trailer had promised more.
When will there be more gameplay? At the very end of the trailer, it was revealed that more gameplay of Battlefield 2042 will be shown on Sunday, June 13. Xbox had already announced on Twitter that it would show more of Battlefield 2042 at the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase.
