Leveling up in Battlefield 2042 is very time-consuming. A player of Battlefield 2042 has unlocked the latest skin for all 10 specialists in the game. This task is so annoying that other fans are worried about the player.
In Battlefield 2042, there is a mastery system for all weapons, vehicles, and specialists. With this, you can unlock special skins as soon as you reach Tier 1 (also called T1). Currently, there are 10 of these T1 skins available for specialists – one for each of the 10 specialists that are currently in the game.
A user on reddit named “geometriceccentric” has now unlocked all T1 skins. According to his own statement, he played for about 300 hours. That’s about 4 hours of average gameplay daily since early access on November 12.

geometriceccentric had to grind purposefully here to unlock all skins. Because these are unlocked through the mastery levels that you can’t just get with all specialists.
How do you unlock these skins? You unlock the T1 skins by reaching mastery 40 with a specialist. The mastery levels in Battlefield 2042 are comparable to a mix of the camo challenges and the prestige system in Call Of Duty.
You must complete a specific task for each specialist to level up. These tasks go up to mastery 40, at which point you have reached T1 with a specialist. There you unlock the skin with the name ‘1st Level’ and thus also the currently latest available skin for the specialist.
These tasks are related to the abilities of the specialist. For example, to reach mastery 40 with Sundance, you need to collect 1,200 kills and assists with Sundance’s smart explosives.
You can also continue to complete these challenges beyond mastery 40. This way, you unlock additional mastery levels. However, you can only brag about those – there are no additional skins after level 40.
Other players show mockery and concern
Battlefield 2042 is currently very unpopular in the community – over Christmas, it even briefly had fewer players than its predecessor Battlefield V. Also, leveling up mastery can be very difficult and time-consuming. Therefore, several users in the reddit thread have alternately made fun of the player, expressed concern and asked whether everything is okay.

Surprising specialist had the most difficult T1 skin
When asked which skin was the most difficult to unlock, the player had a surprising answer:
Sundance, despite great popularity among players, was the most challenging task for geometriceccentric. Other players recommend playing Breakthrough for Sundance and hopping into player groups – it’s a pain, but the most efficient method (via reddit). Irish was also a difficult task for the grinder.
Surprisingly easy however, seem to be Falck, Mackay, Angel, Rao, and Dozer.
Whether it is worth putting in this work is up to you. However, the player mentioned that despite the negative mood that prevails in general, he has fun with the game.
