The open beta of Battlefield 2042 starts today and already gives insights into the shooter. Particularly interesting are the weapons and the variety of attachments that you can adjust during a match. We will show you which ones are currently available.
Battlefield 2042 is supposed to offer a wide selection of weapons that you can use to fight your opponents on the huge maps of the multiplayer shooter. These can be equipped with many attachments to ensure you are well prepared for every situation.
How do you change attachments? You can do this in the match through a simple plus menu. Just press “T” on PC, hold L1 on PlayStation, and hold LB on Xbox.
There’s something for close, medium, and even long-range combat. Here are 10 weapons that we will list for you. Should more be revealed, we will update the list for you.
PBX-45 – Submachine Gun
What kind of weapon is this? This is an SMG for short distances. With the right attachments, you can still tune it for range, but don’t overestimate yourself. Its recoil is aggressive, so you should aim to counteract the direction when firing. Now let’s move on to the attachments:

MCS-880 – Shotgun
What kind of weapon is this? The only pump-action shotgun in the beta is the MCS-880. As befits a pump, it doesn’t have a remarkable range, but it can score with destructive firepower in close combat.
If you still want to go for range, use the second magazine. With this, you fire not shotgun shells but solid metal rounds. These will travel a further distance than the standard ammunition selection.

What kind of weapon is this? This is a semi-automatic pistol. It can be aimed quickly and reloading is also fast. The good thing about this weapon is the fire mode that can be switched. So if you want to fire several rounds in succession and adapt your playstyle to any situation, this is your gun.

What is playable in the beta? You can dive into the battle for the first time in the Conquest mode on the Orbital map. You can test the four specialists and their gadgets.

With further weapons, you probably should not expect anything before the official release of Battlefield 2042. The multiplayer shooter is set to be released on November 19.
