Battlefield 2018 is set to deliver unique battles and massive multiplayer matches. EA has now officially announced this.
This year a new installment of the Battlefield series will be released, which will be playable at E3 2018. However, there has not yet been an official reveal. Therefore, the title of the game is still unknown. It is speculated that it could be called Battlefield 5 or Battlefield V.
In any case, EA has now provided fans with a few tidbits of information that explain details about the upcoming title. Each match is supposed to be unique and come with its own challenges.
Massive Multiplayer Matches in Battlefield 5
During an investors’ conference, EA’s CEO revealed new details about the shooter that will be released in the third quarter of this year.
With singleplayer and plenty of multiplayer! It has now become clear that Battlefield 2018 (name not yet known) will feature multiple multiplayer modes. There will also be a singleplayer story included. This is noteworthy because the new Call of Duty is supposedly going to focus solely on multiplayer.
No confirmation for a Battle Royale mode. Recent rumors suggest that the new Battlefield title will also feature a Battle Royale mode. However, this was not confirmed at the conference. Instead, EA’s CEO Andrew Wilson explained what fans can expect.
With our next Battlefield game, the team at DICE will bring the intensity of combat to life in new and unexpected ways. Every battle is unique and every mode has its own challenges. From the ways you interact with the environment around you, to engaging singleplayer stories, to the next level of massive multiplayer that spans across multiple maps and modes.
Keeping the Success of Battlefield 1 in Mind
The new Battlefield is supposed to be a step into the future, while not forgetting the essentials. “Built on the success of Battlefield 1 and with inspiration from the core DNA of DICE, the franchise will be further developed,” says Wilson. Nevertheless, the typical Battlefield gameplay is to be retained. This is popular in the community.
Fans need not worry: “All the things a Battlefield fan would expect from a DICE multiplayer in the Battlefield universe are included.” In addition, new content will come. This is based on how EA views the future of multiplayer in the first-person genre.
These new features will be available right at launch – more will be added throughout the game’s lifespan.
A firm release date for Battlefield 2018 is to be announced in the coming weeks or months. Fans speculate on an announcement during E3 in June 2018.
Allegedly, the new Battlefield will get this feature from Rainbow Six Siege
