The new “Battlefield 1” game mode Back to Basics prohibits vehicles and only allows certain types of weapons.
In Battlefield 1, you can now find a new game mode for Custom Games. In the Back to Basics mode, you fight on large conquest maps under new rules. There will be no vehicles on the maps. Additionally, players can only fight with standard weapons.
Back to Basics in Battlefield 1
You can find this new game mode in the Custom Games browser. You play it on maps like Amiens, Sinai Desert, Monte Grappa, or Giant’s Shadow. In this mode, sniper rifles, shotguns, LMGs, and SMGs are not allowed. Only the standard rifles of the respective armies are available to you.
Moreover, there are no land or air vehicles in Back to Basics that can interfere with the battle.
Other game modes with special rules include Tank Kill and Bleed Out. In Tank Kill, there are no snipers and the focus is on vehicles. Bleed Out is set to be activated on January 18 and is a rush-style game mode. There are changes to the respawn system and health regeneration.
In the future, further updates for Battlefield 1 are planned. Already in March, the “They Shall Not Pass” DLC is set to be released, where you can play as the French army. What to expect in this DLC can be seen in the provided link.
