In today’s update 1.02 of Battlefield 1, there were some changes in the game that contribute to improved stability.
While the “Battlefield 1″ servers were unreachable for players, the developers deployed the update with version 1.02 to the servers. Previously, there were no patch notes from the developers that could provide hints about changes. In the meantime, the servers are reachable again, and the patch notes have also been published.
Changes in Patch 1.02 for Battlefield 1
In today’s patch 1.02, particularly work has been done on the stability of Battlefield 1. Many various fixes have been implemented, particularly concerning the game’s crashes. Here is an excerpt of the patch notes in German:
General
- Errors that could cause the game to crash have been fixed.
- Scrapping of weapon skins now works as intended.
- Players who participated in the Insider program now receive the exclusive identification tag.
- The calculation of class ranks has been corrected. This may have resulted in some players being downgraded. However, any weapon unlocks remain intact.
- A bug with the A and X buttons for PC players using an Xbox controller has been fixed.
- The “Trench Fighter” identification tag for Xbox One players will now be unlocked correctly.
Game Interface
- The counter on various identification tags has been corrected.
- A bug has been fixed where sometimes English text appeared in non-English game versions.
- On PC, you should now be able to select the display of the controller mapping normally.
- A bug related to loading issues on the end screen has been corrected.
Graphics
- The bug that caused the game to crash during a specific soldier animation has been fixed.
- The overlapping of player symbols while playing on consoles has been resolved.
- On PC, temporal anti-aliasing is now the default on medium graphics settings.
- A graphics bug on PC that displayed artifacts related to shadows has been fixed.
