In Battlefield 1, a German community manager provided hints about the release of the upcoming open beta.
Battlefield 1 is currently in a closed alpha, which only a few selected users have access to. All others are looking forward to an open testing phase that has already been announced, but the launch date is still pending.
The German Battlefield community manager Sebastian Moritz recently mentioned in an interview with CommanderKrieger a timeframe when the release of the open beta is to be expected: Shortly after Gamescom.
Gamescom will take place from August 17 to August 21, 2016, so shooter fans can expect the “Battlefield 1” beta release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC at the end of August or early September.
Additionally, Moritz revealed that “Battlefield Insider” will have around three days of early access to the open beta. As a Battlefield Insider, you will receive the newsletter and other Battlefield-related promotional material.
What content the beta will include has not been specified. It is also unknown how registration for PS4, Xbox One, and PC will work. However, Moritz confirmed that the final game will include the Rush mode.
