These multiplayer maps are expected to be available in the future for Battlefield 1.
Yesterday, on September 8th, the open beta of Battlefield 1 ended. During this test phase, players only had access to one map where they could test the 2 available game modes: The Sinai Desert. Although the Twitter account of Battlefield hoped for another map during the beta, unfortunately, that did not happen. However, interesting hints for possible maps were found through datamining.
9 possible multiplayer maps for Battlefield 1
In the code of the alpha version, dataminers found hints about additional multiplayer maps for Battlefield 1. The code included the names of the maps. Reddit user 1033149 compiled this data and connected it with already known screenshots. This has resulted in a diverse selection of maps, as seen in the screenshots.
In the comments on Reddit, it is speculated that the map marked with “?” refers to the map “Fao Fortress”. There are supposed to be a total of 9 maps that are at least present in the code. However, it is already known that 16 additional maps will be added with DLCs.
From the screenshots, it is noticeable that there are also maps with narrow passages or many objects/trees. This makes these maps more challenging for snipers and tank players, who caused frustration among other players during the beta phase.
Please note that these maps are not officially confirmed and are currently just the result of datamining.
