Will there be another map to choose from in the open beta of Battlefield 1?
The open beta of Battlefield 1 currently offers two game modes on one map. Many players have been wishing for another map since the beta started to have more variety during the testing phase. However, the developers have stated so far that another map is not planned. The latest responses from the Battlefield Twitter account, however, say that suggestions for another map are being accepted in the Battlefield forums.
Second beta map for Battlefield 1?
It was a surprise for many players to see a different map in the beta version of Battlefield 1 than in the alpha version. There, players experienced the Scar of St. Quentin. Now it’s time for the “Sinai Desert” map, which all players can try out. Although the developers have already announced an official end to the beta, they are now accepting suggestions for additional maps.
The link refers to the “Battlefield 1” forums, where feedback is already being actively posted. There, you can log in with your account and post suggestions for a map alternative. Some users in the forums speculate that the responses on Twitter regarding map suggestions were related to the release of the game. So which maps should be available right at the beginning of the game. However, the responses from the “Battlefield 1” Twitter account are in direct context to beta requests.
Will the open beta be extended?
If the developers were to include a second map in the open beta of Battlefield 1, it would be conceivable for the beta phase to be extended as a result. The actual end of the beta on September 8 could then be postponed to the upcoming weekend. This would give players more time to test the game and see the dynamic weather in action on another map. However, this is only wishful thinking from some fans.
