At Battlefield, the developer DICE announced major changes to the user interface.
The developers of the Battlefield series are working on a new UI that is supposed to be “more intuitive and centralized”. Social aspects are in focus: The player experience with friends is to be improved.
This means that you can already form a squad before joining the game, making the experience smoother. This ensures that you fight side by side with your buddies.
In addition, the UI changes include further innovations, such as a “Recommendation Engine,” with which players can suggest new maps and modes. The UI will draw attention to relevant content in the future.
New UI not only in Battlefield 1
The UI changes are not only coming for the upcoming shooter Battlefield 1 but also for previous Battlefield games. The new user interface is already available in a beta version for Battlefield 4, but only for a “small audience”. Larger tests are to follow.
Later, a release of the UI for Battlefield Hardline is also expected. Once the UI for all three games is released, according to DICE, players will simply be able to “switch between games” as long as they own them.
Battlefield 1 will be released on October 21 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
