The hardcore mode in Battlefield 1 is being activated today for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. We show you what changes and when it starts!
This is what the players of Battlefield 1 have been waiting for. The hardcore mode will be unlocked today during the day. More specifically, there will be hardcore servers that will be activated in Battlefield 1. If you play on these servers, the “child safety” is disabled and the game will be significantly harder. The “friendly fire” feature is activated and all players have fewer health points, leading to quicker deaths.
Hardcore servers for PS4, Xbox One, and PC in Battlefield 1
Today at 1:00 PM, the hardcore servers of Battlefield 1 will be activated, this was confirmed by the Twitter account of Battlefield. On these servers, a “serious” game session begins, as everything will be made harder. In the past, hardcore servers had only a reduced interface. There is no permanent minimap, nor a display for ammunition, health points, or grenades. Additionally, you only have 60% of the usual health points known from the “normal” servers. Furthermore, there are the following settings to choose from:
- No health regeneration (except by medics/medikits)
- Friendly fire (Watch whom you shoot!)
- Spotting does not place symbols on the heads of enemies
- No third-person view in vehicles
These settings are typical features of the hardcore servers of Battlefield. Whether these changes will be “exactly like this” in Battlefield 1 is still unclear. It is also server-dependent which of these settings are activated. You can find more information about the hardcore mode here.
