Sharing the passion for computers with his grandchildren is not easy for many older people. Often, the technical understanding or interest is lacking. This war veteran looked at his grandson’s computer game and was so excited about it that they played the story mode of Battlefield 1 as a team. The grandson handled the keyboard while his grandfather took care of aiming and shooting with the mouse.

On Reddit, the user Gunnerkes, wrote that his grandfather loves Battlefield 1! The war veteran is in his late seventies and served in the Army Air Corps for 15 years. Also, Gunnerkes is serving in the military and has been there for 12.5 years.
He decided to show his grandfather the game, especially the story part with the aerial combat. His grandfather needed some time to learn how to use the mouse, as he usually does not use a computer. While the grandson took control of the keyboard, the grandfather was responsible for aiming and shooting with the mouse.
Gunnerkes says, his grandfather was overwhelmed and had a racing heart from excitement. They sat together at the computer for hours playing the airplane missions from beginning to end. Together, they have now also played and filmed the tank missions.
