In the upcoming shooter Battlefield 1, the date for the end of the open beta has been set. For a long time, no concrete date was mentioned.
Since the end of August, numerous amateur soldiers have been eagerly diving into battle: the open beta phase of the highly anticipated first-person shooter Battlefield 1 is ongoing. Days and weeks before the launch, people were asking: When does this test end? How long do I have to explore every corner of the playable map?
A few hours ago, Battlefield announced the deadline on Twitter: On September 8th, this coming Thursday, the open beta will end.
You still have two days to have some fun in the Sinai Desert and to test out various weapons, classes, and elite units.
What happens to my progress?
Already in the beta phase, you can rank up and make progress. A user publicly asked if a carry-over would be possible. He reached rank 40, unlocked numerous weapons, and would like to be able to transfer these achievements to the main game.
However, DICE has a clear answer for the dedicated beta tester: No, progress cannot be transferred to the final version. All soldiers will start over again.
Battlefield 1 takes place in a “World War I” setting, where you will fight on land, in water, and in the air. Since the extremely successful reveal trailer and the spectacular multiplayer show at E3 2016, it has been very high on the wish list of many gamers.
