Battleborn, the hero shooter from Gearbox, will soon receive its 26th hero, the supporter Alani. Also, this weekend there are double experience points, and season pass owners can unlock characters immediately with the hero key!
Mastering all 25 heroes in Battleborn is already a Herculean task, but now there is more to come. On May 31, the new hero Alani will arrive in Solus. Alani is a kind of mermaid and comes from a water world whose oceans have been dried up by Rendain’s troops.

As a former healer, Alani has become a warrior who can now do both: heal and smash her enemies! A detailed description of her abilities will be released on May 24, but one thing is certain, her powers are all related to water. As a nature lover, Alani belongs to the space hippies of the Eldrid faction. By the way, season pass owners and deluxe customers can already play Alani on May 24.
XP Galore and Hero Key
Alani is not the only news for Battleborn. From May 20 to May 25, there will be double experience points in the game, for both the commander rank and the individual heroes. Ideal for unlocking sought-after color schemes, helix mutations, and emotes.
Additionally, starting May 24 (the same day Alani’s early access begins), season pass and deluxe version customers will receive a so-called “hero key.” With this, you can unlock any hero instantly, for example Ghalt, who is otherwise not easily obtainable. And the best part is, if you eventually meet the requirements to unlock Ghalt, the key becomes available again, and you can immediately unlock another hero.
