If you want to have the absolutely best gear in Diablo 4, you have to grind for many hours and days. Especially towards the end, the improvement is hardly noticeable. One player, however, is ambitious to improve everything possible – and thought he was finally at the end. But even after over 2,000 Pit runs, there’s still more to go.
This is the hard grind:
- The Pit is the new endgame dungeon in Diablo 4 and the place where you can continually improve your gear in the endgame.
- Here you can find materials like low iron, which you need to improve your gear to the maximum through the new crafting system.
- On Reddit, a user shows his results after over 2,000 pits and 120,000 units of low iron. His Barbarian looks perfectly equipped – almost.
Here’s how the player can still improve: With his build, the player can easily master all the content of Diablo 4 – except for the highest pit levels that no one has achieved yet or Lilith, if he plays foolishly.
Nonetheless, the top comment already points out what can still be improved: “Get rid of the crit on maximum life on the chest and go for imposing appearance.”
For that, the user is missing some items with multiple great affixes, i.e. stats that are 1.5 times stronger than usual. However, these are in some cases rarer than the coveted Uber Uniques.
In the end, the improvements the player can still achieve probably only make up a few percentage points. Not significant given the damage he could already deal. And for his persistence, there is plenty of admiration.
With the Spiritborn, you can farm loot for a new class in Vessel of Hatred and receive 2 new weapon types. Here’s how the Spiritborn works:
“I wish I could enjoy a game this much”
In the comments, other users congratulate the player on completing the game. Others say they wish they could have that much fun in a game. But especially with the Pit, the excitement was already gone after 50 runs.
One user even wonders whether farming with such an amount is still fun or has become unhealthy, like an escape from reality.
The monotonous grinding in the Pit and maximizing loot is not necessarily the epitome of joy for many players. Many simply prefer the Hell Tides, even if there’s nothing left to collect there. But at least they have fun doing it.
In the upcoming Season 5, there will be a new mode, the Infernal Hordes, which is supposed to be an alternative to the Pit. In the first test, however, the mode did not go well because the rewards simply weren’t good enough. Meanwhile, Blizzard has improved this, and the fans are looking forward to the season: “The game is getting better and better” – Season 5 looked lame at first, but is now exciting the players
