In a major update to the community, the developers of Baldur’s Gate 3 address some issues. Also in focus is the bug-plagued Act 3.
What is the problem? Right at launch, there was a lot of hype around the game. On day 1, Baldur’s Gate 3 was the second largest game on Steam. However, with the large number of players, it quickly became clear what problems exist. The third act of the game is full of bugs and issues that lead to negative experiences for players.
The developers at Larian Studios hear the complaints and provide an outlook in a major update on what will change and how soon that will happen.

What do the developers say? With the major Patch 2 for Baldur’s Gate, some issues and requests raised by players in the community will be addressed. Specifically on this topic, the team explains:
We know that performance in Act 3 is not as good as that of the first two acts, but the good news is that Patch 2 brings significant performance improvements for the entire game, but especially for Act 3, where you will feel it the most. We will also be working on improving performance in Act 3 with new technology throughout September, whose release took somewhat longer than we expected.
[…]We have read your reports about Act 3 and are just as frustrated as you are about the bugs that affect the gaming experience. That’s why we are working to fix these quickly. And as you have noticed with our hotfix and patch rollout, we are quite fast at it.
Patch 2 is supposed to address some of the larger issues, including those in Act 3.

The patch is expected to arrive soon and will eliminate some of the biggest bugs from the game. On our site MeinMMO, Cortyn in the opinion article showed how severe the state of Act 3 is. Because there are some bugs so serious that one can hardly follow the story.
The bugs also affect the dialogues. Sometimes you can only select certain responses because the choice option does not work.
So far, many have advised simply to wait. And for those who have had patience so far, they can soon look forward to it, as Patch 2 seems to be just around the corner. Did you also experience such issues in Act 3?
