- In many games, environmental objects are unimportant. In Baldur’s Gate 3, you can interact with them, and that can even become important: Candles provide light, which is important for battles and hiding. Chests can be stacked to reach higher places. Chairs can be switches for secret doors.
- Quests in Baldur’s Gate 3 cannot really fail. They can only have different outcomes.
- The design of the world plays a role. Corpses and animals are not just decorations. With the right spell, you can talk to creatures and gain information or even quests and loot. Even every “unimportant” NPC has a story and you can trade with him.
- What doesn’t work in other games can work in Baldur’s Gate 3. If a hole is too small for you, use a shrinking spell. If you have given something to someone, steal it back using pickpocketing. Gas blocking the way? Put a box on the ventilation shaft.
