What does Baldur’s Gate have to offer?
- This is how long you will be entertained: The first act of Baldur’s Gate 3 is said to make up a quarter of the content. Individual players have already spent 40 to 200 hours on it alone.
- Single and multiplayer: You can play alone or in co-op with up to 3 friends. In multiplayer mode, you can also join other players. Crossplay is currently only known between Steam, GOG, and Mac.
- Game content: The story is set almost 100 years after the events in Baldur’s Gate 2. The core of the game includes deep stories, relationships, and romances, as well as battles with villains and traditionally various endings depending on your choices.
- Fights: The fights are turn-based, including opportunities to interact with the environment. Strategy and foresight are rewarded.
- Relationships: Traditionally, being able to choose a partner is an important feature in role-playing games. In Baldur’s Gate 3, there are said to be particularly few limits for this. The presentation of an intimate scene between a vampire and a druid in bear form recently led to a ban during a livestream.
- Character customization: In terms of diversity and inclusion, Baldur’s Gate 3 offers many options. There are customization options such as heterochromia, freckles, skin colors, and even an age slider.
- What are the origin characters in Baldur’s Gate? There are predefined characters called “Origins”, which have their own stories and can be played in addition to your own characters. One of them is “The Dark Urge”, which is not actually a character:
