A player thought several steps ahead when he faced the final boss in Act 2 of Baldur’s Gate 3. But thanks to his trick, he was able to defeat the end boss with just one hit. MeinMMO reveals how he did it.

How does the trick work? The player initially pretended to be a generous benefactor. He used an unseen pickpocket trick, but in reverse. He didn’t steal money from the end boss; instead, he gave him a whopping sum of 15,000 gold.
In the fight, he then used a special morning star called “Twist of Fortune,” which has a special addition. With the help of “Blood Money,” he was able to kill the opponent with a single blow.
“Blood Money” ensures that for every 300 gold, an additional 3 piercing damage is dealt. This means an extra damage of 150 on top of the base damage of the weapon and the “Cull the Weak” ability. The latter ability dealt an additional 1-4 damage for every attack from “Blood Money,” meaning per 300 gold. “Cull the Weak” appeared to be a bit buggy, as it was triggered multiple times – long before the critical threshold was actually reached.
The guide with all the individual steps was uploaded by the user in the Reddit forum:
How much damage does the attack deal? A user calculates that the attacker achieved an approximate attack value of 260 with a single strike. Since the opponent has fewer hit points, he was immediately killed. Thus, the player could avoid the tough boss fight. Respect!
The individual damage per 300 gold created a huge fireworks display on the screen. In the last images, it can be seen that the opponent left with a grand effect storm.

Where do I get the weapon? The weapon you need for this trick can be found right at the beginning of Act 2. It feels darker compared to Act 1, but equips us with an extremely strong weapon.
You obtain the weapon after defeating Gerringothe Thorm in the customs house of Reithwin. The tough opponent looks like a mix between a sumo wrestler and a Buddha statue and demands all your gold. No wonder a weapon with such an effect is in its possession.
In the comments, many players express their enthusiasm for this trick, as they were not aware of it themselves. One user notes that there are other items that deal extra damage and can be combined with the mentioned method.
At the end of the fight, the clever player was able to collect his gold again. Lucky him!
There is another strategy to defeat opponents with just one blow. However, you need to have a druid on your team who can then transform into an owlbear.
