Dschinni Akabi from Baldur’s Gate 3 has made life difficult for many players with his pranks. But if you act cleverly and particularly annoy him, he will send you to a secret Dinoland. There you will find the mentioned dinosaurs, as well as a powerful, legendary weapon. How to get there is explained here in the (video) walkthrough.
Spoiler Warning: This concerns a weapon and a location from Act 3 of Baldur’s Gate 3! You have been warned.
Which weapon is it? The legendary spear Nyrulna is offered as a reward for successfully visiting Dinoland. The weapon is one of the best ranged weapons in Baldur’s Gate 3. It deals W8 piercing damage, two points of acid damage, and W6 sonic damage.
The special thing is that Nyrulna returns to your hands whenever you throw it. So you can throw the spear as many times as you like without worrying about losing it.
On top of that, you gain +3 meters to your movement rate and jump distance. The bearer is also immune to fall damage.
However, the spear is not exactly subtle: Nyrulna glows in a radius of six meters.
Who is Dschinni Akabi? Akabi is a djinn who runs the fortune wheel at the “Circus of Last Days.” He is characterized by his particularly friendly nature: He insults his guests unrelentingly. He also manipulates the wheel. A pleasant fellow, indeed.
Nyrulna is the grand prize at the fortune wheel. However, you can also receive other items from Akabi. For example, you can read here how to get the “Boots of Very Fast Blinking”:

How do you get into Dinoland and acquire the weapon? To be able to obtain Nyrulna, you need a rogue like Astarion with high dexterity and stealth skills, as well as thieving tools. If you have one or two invisibility potions on hand, that will help as well.

And here is the written walkthrough:
- Go to the “Circus of Last Days” and find Dschinni Akabi in the southern part of the carnival.
- Stealthily approach Akabi. Click on him to pickpocket him.
- The object of your desire is the “Dschinni Ring.” This gives its bearer the power to cast the cantrip “Mage Hand.” Without the ring, Akabi can no longer manipulate the fortune wheel next to him.
- After successfully stealing, speak to Akabi. It’s best not to be discouraged by his “friendly” demeanor. Antagonizing him before the spin won’t make it easier for you.
- Select the option “2. I would like to spin the wheel.” The spun wheel should stop on the grand prize – Akabi can’t prevent this anymore.
- Now you can antagonize him: Choose “3. HOW DOES IT FEEL TO BE A FAILURE?” in response to his accusations.
- The djinn will teleport the winning character away with a snap of his fingers: Welcome to the Dino Jungle!
- Next, head southeast and take the next turn to the south. The portal should come into view soon.
Warning: The dinosaurs are formidable and should not be trifled with. So you have the choice to fight or sneak. Move as you feel comfortable. - At the end of the path, jump onto the platform. Now you are safe from the dinos.
- Nyrulna is in the chest in front of the portal. Open it with a dexterity check. You need to roll at least a 20.
- Once the lock is picked, you can take the weapon and return through the portal. You will spawn at the other end of the carnival and can return to your remaining group from there.
