Baldur’s Gate 3 is full of surprises and Easter eggs. The developers have added a little joke in the character creation. Your runes on your face may have a very different meaning than you might think. MeinMMO reveals what it’s all about.
In Baldur’s Gate 3, players frequently come across new discoveries, surprises, and Easter eggs. A great Easter egg, in my opinion, is one of the folk hero inspirations that you can receive throughout the game. Larian Studios has hidden a little message for Final Fantasy 14 fans in it, but we don’t want to spoil it for you.
However, even at the beginning of character creation, players encounter hidden messages, which many do not notice. It’s about a specific face tattoo that hides funny meanings.
Here are 3 tips to reduce your carrying weight:
Larian Studios plays a little joke with your tattoos
What’s it about? The character editor of Baldur’s Gate 3 gives you tons of options to design your character exactly as you wish.
In the character editor, players can also choose body decorations, including tattoos. One tattoo stands out in particular. The tattoo consists of a script called Barazhad. This script is based on the demonic, occult, and necrotic languages from Dungeons & Dragons. Ur and Abyssal beings from D&D use these characters.
Larian Studios took the opportunity and immortalized ridiculous messages on your faces with this tattoo. The user “Thewingedbaron” discovered this funny Easter egg from the developers on TikTok.
Here you can see the TikTok video:
What do the symbols mean? The TikToker found out in his second playthrough that a particular tattoo in Baldur’s Gate 3 does not have dark meanings but rather puts the character in a ridiculous light. The symbols along the nose simply mean… “Nose.”
But that’s not all. On the forehead, it just says “Forehead.” You might almost guess where this is going with the other body parts.
One string of characters stands out particularly. The characters on the neck don’t just mean “Neck”. No, this time you can read “Larian Studios”… no joke.
Your character thus constantly runs around Faerûn with a “Larian Studios sign”. Also, with labels on every body part so you don’t forget where your nose is at all. Some tieflings must think our character is utterly “stupid”.
With this Barazhad translation guide, you can find out what the runes on your face actually mean.
It turns out that the infernal tattoos are actually totally ridiculous. I actually thought that the tattoos must have a very dark or cool meaning. Maybe you felt the same way.
Instead, some tiefling might wonder what the hell we have done to our faces. Probably, some tieflings ponder at night in bed what “Larian Studios” even means.
