Why is it being adjusted? It is uncertain why Bungie wants to adjust this particular trait. It is possible that it does not meet what the development team hoped for.
Since Bungie often observes gameplay from the shadows, it is possible that they want to revise this for that reason. The fact is, you will soon witness a change. Therefore, keep your weapons with this perk in your nearly full vault until Bungie can provide further details on this.

A fun adjustment could be one that increases your grenade damage per kill. This effect would then stack up to five times. However, this is just wishful thinking and depends solely on Bungie regarding what changes they will allow.
