The GO Plus and also the Pokéball Plus typically do not have an autocatch feature for Pokémon GO, but with some tricks, you can make the gadgets catch Pokémon automatically.
This is how autocatch works:Your GO Plus or Pokéball Plus is turned on and targets the Pokémon. The targeted Pokémon are then not caught by pressing a button but automatically. You must hold the device and your smartphone in hand at the same time.

Is this even allowed?This is a gray area in Pokémon GO. In itself, the gadgets are not designed for this, but they can be modified to do so.
There is the possibility that you can solder your gadget to enable an autocatch. However, this could also destroy the device and interfere with its functionality. Therefore, we do not recommend this strategy.
However, there are also ways where you can trigger an autocatch with small aids.
This is how the autocatch works: For this, you first need to connect the GO Plus or the Pokéball Plus normally with your phone. Once that is successful, you can get started.
Take a rubber band or a hair tie and wrap it around the ball or the GO Plus enough times so that the pressure is strong enough and the button for catching is pressed down continuously.
By holding down the button continuously, a signal is sent to Pokémon GO every time, and every command is executed. This means you will spin every PokéStop, and every Pokémon will be thrown.
In the meantime, you can comfortably put your phone and the device in your pocket or on your desk. Keep in mind, however, that you need to reconnect the devices every hour. Unfortunately, you cannot leave it overnight.
Are there alternatives? Devices like the Gotcha can do the autocatch, but they are not licensed by Niantic. However, the developers do not take action against this, so one can speak of a gray area here.
Is autocatch worth it?This depends on your play style. If you like to play with your phone in hand anyway, then you don’t necessarily need a GO Plus or autocatch.
However, if you have a job where you can reconnect the GO Plus every hour and also have some Pokémon standing outside your door, then you should give autocatch a try. It could be worth it.
But remember, not every monster can be caught with the GO Plus. Each time only one ball is thrown. If the monster breaks out, it escapes.
