Is a Druid class planned for Diablo 3? These hints certainly suggest so.
The days when Diablo 3 was fresh are long gone; the game was released in 2012. Since then, many players only return when a new season begins, play for a week or two, and then turn to other games. Because there isn’t much new content in Diablo 3. Streamer Leviathan uses this “quiet period” of the game between two seasons and is on an interesting trail.
Druid in Diablo 3? The developers provide mysterious hints
In his video, streamer Leviathan shows many hints that indicate a Druid class in Diablo 3. Keep in mind that this is speculation.
First, Leviathan points out the Twitter account of a Diablo 3 developer, Sean White. In August 2017, Leviathan had a small conversation with Sean White on Twitter. This was opened by White with the sentence: “Disappointing. No one found the PTR secret!”
Shortly thereafter, after the PTR round was over, Leviathan replied to this tweet and asked what the players missed. White then wrote that the secret is still there but time is running out. He added: “With all the cool 2.6.1 Changes, Necro is still pretty nice miems, right?”
The words “Necro” and “miems” gave Leviathan an idea. After all, the PTR vendor in Diablo 3 is called Djank Mi’em. The secret must therefore have something to do with the Necro and the vendor.
When asked if one should buy a bag from the vendor that is not designed for the Necromancer, White finally replied “Bingo!”.
Actually, this bag is intended for all classes except the Necromancer. However, if you buy and open it with the Necro, a muddy parchment falls to the ground. Inspecting the parchment in your inventory reveals: The words are illegible due to the elements and something that looks like claw marks.
Elements and traces of claws? If that doesn’t scream “Druid”?! However, the words are illegible. This could mean that development has been shelved or is still in the future.
And then there are the Season 12 wings
To these hints come the Fiacla-Géar wings that were available during the twelfth season. Fiacla-Géar is basically the ultimate Druid in the lore. Here is the Fiacla-Géar article on Diablo.wikia.com
In Diablo 3, the wings state: “Let no Druid see you wearing these wings. They might believe you have killed one of their brothers.”
