Are you Duel Masters in WoW? Then pay attention! Soon there will be content just for you.
Anyone who finds themselves in World of Warcraft in front of the gates of Stormwind or Orgrimmar has certainly noticed a very special group of players: Duelists. They repeatedly fight each other in 1vs1 battles, seemingly without any reward – except for fun. With Battle for Azeroth, that will change, because there will be special content for all who love duels: the Duelist Guild.
Where is the Duelist Guild? As an Alliance player, you can find the Duelist Guild in Boralus at the Hook Point. Horde players, on the other hand, go to Mugambala in Zuldazar. However, both sides must first reach level 120.
Structure resembles the Combat Guild. The Duelist Guild resembles the Combat Guild in principle. All players can sign up with an NPC and then take turns – always two against each other. The rest of the players can stand on the sidelines and watch. Anyone who is defeated is out. Whoever wins can stay in the arena and receives the next opponent until they either win three times in a row (and earn a achievement) or are defeated themselves.
No cooldown refresh between fights. It’s important to note that even after a won fight, the cooldowns of abilities are not reset. Those who want to win three battles in a row must be economical with their skills and time their actions precisely to succeed in the challenge.
What rewards are there? For participating in the duels, there are several achievements. However, the title “Combatant” that you receive for completing all the achievements of the Duelist Guild is particularly interesting. Those who defeat at least 50 players in the Duelist Guild will at least receive the tabard of the Combatant, which is also quite impressive.

World of Warcraft is not necessarily designed for 1vs1 duels. The class balance does not allow for consistently fair initial conditions. That is probably also the reason why there are no “meaningful” rewards in the Duel Arena to increase character strength. They are merely a few nice additions that you can show off when your character has earned them.
Do you think it’s good that duel players also get something to do? Or is it too specific and only affects a very small group of players that doesn’t really need it?
