The pirate MMO Atlas can now be tested for the first time by streamers. Thousands of viewers are following the streams on Twitch – however, criticism is also emerging.
What is happening? After Studio Wildcard has delayed the launch of Atlas for the third time, the first streamers can now test the pirate MMO on Twitch. Some streamers have over 80,000 viewers on their streams.
After players have seen a few minutes of gameplay, many believe that it is a reskin of ARK: Survival Evolved, the predecessor game from Studio Wildcard. Others do not want to draw hasty conclusions from a few minutes of gameplay. The discussions are extensive.

Especially the stream by Forsen is well-attended. Over 80,000 viewers followed the stream simultaneously at times. The interest in the game is currently high, which surely has to do with the postponed releases.
The streamers can already test all the actions that will later be possible in the game. Forsen mainly shows gameplay on a small island, but sailing and fighting are also already possible.
Release of Atlas planned for today
When will Atlas be available to everyone? Currently, only selected streamers can play the MMO. The wider audience still has to be patient. The game developers announced the release for today, December 22nd, at 9 PM German time. However, there is a likelihood that this release date could still be postponed.
This brings hope: Now that streamers can finally play, it seems like everyone might be able to play soon. The gameplay of the streamers runs smoothly, there are no major bugs. If server stability is ensured for 40,000 players, it won’t be long before everyone can finally play.

Some see in the Atlas streams a reskin of ARK: Survival Evolved. Others do not want to make conclusions after just a few minutes of gameplay and are waiting for the release.
