Next week, you can take a break from the serious topics in the fantasy world of the MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online (PC, PS4/PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S). The Festival of Fools is starting, where you can level up quickly.
What is the Festival of Fools in ESO? This cheerful event offers some fun quests and plenty of rewards. This is not a serious affair; you should just have fun and celebrate.
When does the festival start and end? It begins on March 25 at 3:00 PM. You have until April 1 at 4:00 PM to complete the quests and claim your rewards.
To start the festival, you need to visit the festival pavilions in front of the cities of Ebonheart (Stonefalls), Vulkhel Guard (Auridon), or Daggerfall (Glenumbra) and speak to the Jester’s representatives of the King of Scales.
Why is it especially worthwhile to join now? Just by completing the introductory quest, you will receive your first reward: the Jester’s Pie, which grants you 100% more EXP for two hours.
This cake is particularly exciting because 100% more experience points allows you to level up twice as fast. If you are new to ESO, you should grab this delicacy right away and can achieve a lot in the first hours.
Why is it also worthwhile for veterans? Update 29 has revamped the Champion Points. They are now acquired faster, but you also need more of them. So, even veterans can benefit from this event.
How to level up even faster in ESO
Once you’ve devoured the pie, you should quickly visit locations in the world of Tamriel where you can level up quickly. For example:
- The Catacombs of Skyreach in the adventure zone of Kraggenmoor, found in the northwest of Cyrodiil.
- If you’re already in Kraggenmoor, take advantage of the area Spellscar, where you can also quickly gather EXP.
That grinding doesn’t have to be a bad thing in the MMORPG ESO, MyMMO author Larissa Then will tell you. Also, we have put together tips for leveling in a group.
What else does the Festival of Fools have to offer
These quests await you: Just like last year, you can also engage in daily quests during this year’s Festival of Fools. These include:
- A highly piggish adversary
- Royal Theft
- Carneval of Pranks
What other rewards are there? The “Ridiculous Rewards” that await you include packages containing the following items:
- Valuables that you can sell
- Recipes
- Furniture items for your houses
- Holiday pies
- The memento in the form of the playful jester’s surprise box
In addition, there is a special box for completing one of the quests for the first time. This box contains:
- Style pages for Cadwell’s Kitchen outfit
- Fragments of the festive Noisemaker or the festive Jester
- Stolen Mischief which you can sell
- Rune boxes with the Cherry Blossom Branch or the Jester’s Splendor
- Fragments of the Monarch Pig as a companion
- Outfit style page of the Noble Insignia
- Fragments for the Jester’s playful surprise box as a memento
- Three Event Tickets
You can bring the event tickets to the NPC Impresaria to exchange them for items, including repair materials and fragments, for example, for the appearance of the Deadlands Avenger.
Additionally, you can unlock several achievements and earn titles.
In the Crown Store, you’ll also find suitable items such as a Boar Prince pet during the Festival of Fools. As you can see, the MMORPG doesn’t take itself too seriously during the event so you can just have a lot of fun.
What do you think of the Festival of Fools in the MMORPG? Do you like it, or is it too “ridiculous” for you?
