In the last months of 2021, many big games are being released, including 4 really major shooters from the well-known franchises CoD, Battlefield, Halo, and Far Cry. Which one will you play?
The end of 2021 will be exciting for multiplayer fans. A whole series of really major online games are being released for the first time or are getting new add-ons. And while MMORPG fans are well served with New World, Lost Ark, and FFXIV: Endwalker, there are especially 4 major releases for shooter enthusiasts.
These are the shooters: Even though more than just 4 shooters are being released before early 2022, these blockbusters stand out due to their size:
- CoD: Vanguard (November 5) – The setting places you once again in World War II and revolves around characters inspired by real people from history. You will visit the various battlefields of the war in Russia, North Africa, and Germany with them and witness the founding of the first special forces.
- Battlefield 2042 (October 22) – In the latest Battlefield installment, we travel about 20 years into the future. Global warming has led to “the greatest crisis in human history.” A worldwide food and fuel shortage breaks out, and people begin to fight over the remaining resources.
- Halo Infinite (December 8) – The story of Infinite takes place long after the end of Halo 5. Master Chief is picked up in space by a yet unnamed pilot and sets out to find out what happened during his absence and where Cortana has disappeared.
- Far Cry 6 (October 7) – “The largest Far Cry yet” places you on the island of Yara, inspired by Cuba. It is ruled by the ruthless fascist El Presidente Antón Castillo, who eliminates anyone who opposes him. You take on the role of a guerrilla fighter and stand against Castillo.
They all appear in relatively short intervals from each other. Especially the two giants CoD and Battlefield have just two weeks between their releases. Shooter enthusiasts will have to decide which game gets their attention first.
