The Asia MMORPG Astellia introduced its world PvP in a new post. Three factions fight over towers, sacred stones, and weekly rewards.
How is the world PvP structured? In the area of Avalon, three factions clash, waging war against each other. Points are collected over the course of a week by:
- Defeating enemies
- Capturing towers and sacred stones
- and eliminating PvE monsters and enemy guards.
Avalon is thus both a PvP and a PvE zone. Each instance can accommodate 1,000 players. Activities in the area are supplemented by story quests, daily and weekly quests, as well as resources that can be harvested.
After one week, the points earned will be summed up and the map will reset. Much of it resembles the world versus world in Guild Wars 2, which also combines PvE and PvP elements.
How do I enter Avalon? Once your character reaches level 45, you can enter Avalon through the adventure interface on the right side of the screen. There are no further requirements.
Avalon will play an important role in the second closed beta of Astellia, which will begin soon. The area is to be tested extensively there.
Rewards depend on activity and faction
How do I join a faction? When you enter Avalon for the first time, you will automatically be assigned to one of the three factions, Ceres, Physe, or Eos. Which one depends on the current number of participants.
However, an exception is if you belong to a guild that has joined a faction. In that case, you will also automatically join that faction.
You can switch factions at the end of the week when the reset occurs.
What rewards are there in Avalon? For completing quests, you earn Victory Tokens, which can be exchanged for better equipment or used to upgrade Astels.
At the end of each week, players receive Zender Rewards. These depend on how active you were and how successful your faction performed.
The most active player will receive 500 Zender Rewards. The second and third places receive 400 each, and the top 100 will receive at least 200 points. Those who only participated briefly in the battle will receive only 10 Zender Rewards.
In the winning faction, Zender Rewards are multiplied by a factor of 1.5; for the second place, the factor is 1.2. What exactly you receive in exchange for the rewards is currently still unknown.
When does the second beta start? On July 30 at 9:00 AM our time, the second closed beta of Astellia will start. In this beta, you will be able to test some changes that were made based on feedback from the first beta.
