On Twitch, there was a confrontation between two streamers. The trigger was a statement made by the streamer Destiny. This provoked his colleague SeanDaBlack to the extent that he called for murder and mayhem. Twitch streamer Asmongold urges Twitch to intervene and ban him.
What is the dispute about? In a post on X, the controversial and permanently banned streamer Destiny used the N-word, which enraged SeanDaBlack.
In a clip of streamer Asmongold, it can be seen and heard how SeanDaBlack is provoked by his colleague’s statement.
Just a few seconds in, he gets so worked up that his words need to be drowned out by the classic “Beep” sound. But apparently, he demands here that someone should “stab” Destiny. This was recognized by someone who can read lips (via youtube).
SeanDaBlack: Destiny is the result of slaveholders
How does SeanDaBlack express himself? The clip starts innocently with SeanDaBlack presenting a theory. In his opinion, “it would be so easy if socialism worked at this moment.”
What exactly he means by this remains speculative. Because all of a sudden, the streamer uses words that had to be censored afterward. The sentences that are understandable again afterward, however, speak very clearly of a questionable venture:
“This happens when you don’t kill every single slaveholder. Every single Ku Klux Klan supporter.” (via YouTube)
Asmongold says: Twitch has hit rock bottom
This is what Asmongold demands: Asmongold also sees Twitch as responsible to act in such a case. SeanDaBlack’s statements are “crazy” and “not okay in any context, universe.” (via YouTube)
He places the case of SeanDaBlack among a series of current controversies:
- A streamer placed a bounty – initially thought to be for Asmongold, but she meant Mark Kern
- another streamer used a term that was understood as a racist slur for whites
For Asmongold, Twitch has reached “rock bottom.”
SeanDaBlack tries to apologize
In the clip, SeanDaBlack can be seen attempting to apologize for his verbal outbursts. He later stated that he “would not wish harm on Destiny,” not even in his censored lines. (via YouTube)
For Asmongold, this apologetic approach does not hold. He points out that one could only believe him if he had not directly called for “people to be killed” after the censorship.
So far, SeanDaBlack’s Twitch account has not been suspended. The feud on Twitch is already entering the next round, as Sean has now reacted to Asmongold.
