22-year-old Nadia Amine is the most-watched streamer of Call of Duty on Twitch. She has now received her first ban for sharing a viewer’s name during the stream. MMORPG streamer Asmongold criticizes Twitch for its leniency.
Who is the streamer? Nadia Amine, who appears on Twitch only by her first name, is the most-watched CoD streamer by viewer hours. In the last 7 days, she ranked 8th among all streamers for Call of Duty: Warzone 2 worldwide (via sullygnome).
However, Nadia’s success is controversial: For months, the streamer has been defending herself against cheating accusations. Now the situation escalated. Nadia shared the name of a viewer during her stream who wished her a lot of fun cheating, and she received a ban for it.

What was the ban about? On December 15th, Nadia was banned from Twitch for 14 days. For the streamer, it is her first ban. The reasons were initially unknown. Nadia only mentioned that she was banned for sharing personal information, whatever that means.
Why was Nadia banned? It is now known that Nadia received the ban for sharing the real name of a viewer during her stream. The 22-year-old explained that she often receives donations over 1 US dollar that are accompanied by a hateful message.
In this case, a viewer donated a dollar under the name “Daddyslayer” and wrote “have fun cheating.” What the viewer did not know, according to Nadia, is that Paypal shows her the full names of her donors.
Nadia took the opportunity to thank the viewer for their donation – she repeatedly used his real name and urged him to do something else with his time.
For whatever reason you do this, I hope you find the time to do something with your damn life. Because now you look like a damn idiot.
The YouTube channel Warzone Part 2 shared the relevant clip, with the viewer’s name censored.
However, Nadia did not have to serve the full 14 days: she was unbanned after just 6 hours. This has led to intense discussions, with many calling for a harsher punishment. Larger content creators are also getting involved.

What does the discussion look like? On Twitter, the ban and its reversal are being heavily debated. Nadia’s supporters believe that the streamer has done nothing wrong. After all, many people voluntarily provide their full names on Twitch (via Twitter).
Others find the length of the ban disproportionate: Content creators are banned for sexually explicit actions for shorter periods than Nadia. Twitch’s ban policy has been criticized for some time, with one Twitter user stating that bans on the platform are absolutely arbitrary (via Twitter).
Currently, Nadia’s channel is not banned, but she has not been online since the incident.
Twitch’s ban policy is considered opaque. It is not always clear what triggers a ban. Viewers and streamers often cannot understand the relationship between the severity of the offense and the length of the suspension. Recently, the largest political streamer on the platform was also hit:
However, critics see Nadia’s action as doxing and thus a clear violation that should be punished more severely.
This can include the full name, as well as more detailed information such as the address, contact details, or even financial information. The goal is usually to shame the victims, threaten them, or otherwise harm them (via Police Counseling).
Doxing can be directed against political or personal opponents and can be criminal, depending on how the information was obtained and what consequences arise (via AVG).
What does Asmongold say? Under a Twitter post by journalist Jake Lucky about Nadia’s ban, MMORPG streamer Asmongold also commented. He is one of the largest streamers on Twitch, but does not hesitate to criticize the platform harshly.
Asmongold said he had seen the clip. For him, there is no question that Nadia should be permanently banned. He finds it astonishing that Twitch is having any difficulty with the decision.
What’s next? Asmongold apparently intends to resolve the issue himself: in a stream, he urged his community to report Nadia’s channel so that she would at least be banned for a few months (via Twitch).
