Ashes of Creation promises to be a very interesting MMORPG. The developers have now released a first gameplay video that shows what the game actually looks like.
With Ashes of Creation, MMORPG fans might expect what Everquest Next was supposed to be. In the game, you explore a huge fantasy world, which you can influence through your actions and what you build there. You can even become the ruler of a whole kingdom that spreads across the lands. But what does the game really look like?
Screenshots and trailers showing the landscape are nice, but a gameplay video says more.
When Mages Explore Dungeons
Therefore, the development studio has now released such a video. In this, a sorceress sets out to explore a dungeon that has appeared due to the actions of players near a newly built town. As players, you now venture out to explore this dungeon to find out if there are any treasures to be discovered and whether the creatures that dwell there pose a threat to the settlement.
The video shows how the sorceress explores the cave and encounters enemies that are fought using a traditional MMORPG combat system, where the position of the players plays an important role. It shows how important magic is to overcome abysses or to catch a deep fall after the ground collapses. This also demonstrates that group play is essential, as it will surely be difficult to master this dungeon without a mage.
Game Graphics but Enhanced
At the end of the dungeon, as the heroine is about to open a treasure chest, the massive boss enemy appears… The video showcases game graphics but presents them very cinematically, with UI turned off and various camera perspectives.
Ashes of Creation is set to enter alpha later this year and is already whetting the appetite for more.
