Intrepid Studios has hired new developers for their upcoming MMORPG Ashes of Creation. This MMO is set to be one of the largest online role-playing projects currently in the works.
Ashes of Creation could become what many MMORPG fans have long desired: a classic online role-playing game that is modern and doesn’t compromise on presentation. To implement such a project, many employees are naturally required.
A Growing Development Team
Veterans from the industry are now part of the team. The team states that they have recently hired new employees with extensive experience in MMORPG development. These developers have previously worked on games and come from companies like Disney, Daybreak, SOE, Sigil, EA, and Travian. Among the new hires are:
- Michael Roca – Senior Gameplay Programmer (Formerly Disney, Daybreak, SOE, and EA)
- Grant Crabtree – Senior Software Engineer (Formerly Daybreak and SOE)
- Devin Lafontaine – Senior Artist (Formerly Daybreak, SOE, Sigil Games)
- Tad Ehrlich – Senior Artist (Formerly Daybreak, SOE, Midway Games)
- Garrett Fern – Senior Game Designer (Formerly Daybreak and SOE)
- Zin Chiang – Senior Producer (Formerly Travian Games and Publishing)
- Midori Bond – Executive Assistant (Formerly Senior GM and Customer Support at SOE)
But that’s not all, as more new employees are on the way.
The team is growing and growing. In the coming weeks, 21 more employees are set to be hired. Additionally, developers have been brought on board in France and Malaysia. This is expected to bring the team to around 100 employees. The developers state that Ashes of Creation is among the largest MMORPGs currently in development.
Development is on track. Regarding the game’s development, there is a small update. The team states that they are very much on schedule to start Alpha 1 by the end of the year. Currently, Ashes of Creation is still in Alpha 0, with about 8,000 players having registered. If you want to participate in Alpha 1, you need to purchase an appropriate founder’s pack.
