The MMORPG Ashes of Creation has officially released its PvP standalone Apocalypse in Early Access. This means that a first part of the game is now permanently available to you.
What is Apocalypse? The freshly released game Ashes of Creation Apocalypse offers you the opportunity to battle against other players in a battle royale arena.
Its main purpose is to test the server structures and the combat system for the MMORPG. The developers also call it a prequel to Ashes of Creation.
How can I play Apocalypse? To play the PvP standalone, you only need an account on the official website. The game itself is free to play.
After that, you can download the game through a launcher there or through Steam. In both cases, you need to log in with the officially created account.
High Mobility and Destructible Environment
How does a round of Apocalypse play out? You can enter a round alone, in pairs, or with up to four players. After that, you will be dropped over a game world and glide onto the battlefield on a griffin.
The goal is to be the last surviving player or surviving group in this world. To achieve this, you may need to hide for long periods, but you inevitably also have to eliminate opponents.
How can I defeat opponents? In the world of Apocalypse, there are various buildings, chests, and other areas where you can find tools for victory. These include:
- Weapons
- Armor
- Spells
- Explosive potions
The potions can mainly be used to reshape the world a bit. Officially stated, craters can be blasted into the ground and buildings can be destroyed.
Earn Rewards for the MMORPG
Why is it worth playing Apocalypse? Through a free and an additional paid battle pass, you can already earn some rewards that can then be transferred to the MMORPG.
These rewards include:
- Armor and weapon skins
- Mounts
- Other cosmetic rewards
When does the MMORPG start? Ashes of Creation was originally supposed to begin with the first alpha in March 2019. However, this has been postponed indefinitely.
One reason for the delay was also Apocalypse, which had to be repaired and brought into a playable state first. A release of the MMORPG is still planned for 2020.
