What kind of game is this? Against the Storm is a roguelite building game where you have to rebuild a settlement over and over again because a storm destroys it. It was released on December 8, 2023, by Hooded Horse and developed by Eremite Games.
In Against the Storm, you must provide for your residents and ensure that you do not deforest the surrounding forest too much, as this has consequences. And the queen is not particularly patient. While you try to appease her mood, you will face new challenges time and time again.
Each successfully constructed settlement rewards you with rewards that you can use to purchase upgrades. This makes the rounds easier or allows you to tackle higher difficulty levels. The fact that you do not build endlessly on a city, as is the case in Anno, makes Against the Storm so special.
