What is the Armory? Diablo 3 already had the feature with the Armory, and fans have been requesting it for Diablo 4 pretty much since release. The feature allows for a quick switch between different builds, which is especially useful in the endgame when you use different builds for bosses and the pit.
With Season 7, the long-awaited feature was finally added to the ARPG. Below, we explain how the Armory works and where you can find it.
Finding and Using the Armory
This is how the Armory works: Essentially, the Armory is a storage function for the builds you want to play with a character. It allows you to save, name, and switch between builds – without the tedious and costly respec.
- The loadout slots are character-bound. Each character has 5 slots for loadouts.
- In the overview, you can see the gear, skills, Paragon nodes, and glyphs of the saved build. The class mechanic will also be saved, which you only need to do once. To do this, log in briefly with a character with which you have unlocked the mechanic at some point.
- Switching builds with different Paragon nodes and boards costs no gold.
- If a saved item is missing – for example, because you sold or disassembled it – this will be marked in the preview.
- You can access the Armory in any major city, as well as in the Citadel and at the “Whispering Tree”.
Where do I find the Armory? You can find the Armory in all major settlements like Kyovashad, Cerrigar, Gea Kul, and Zarbinzet. You can see if there is an Armory at a waypoint by the special symbol when you hover over the waypoint. This way, you can also identify the Armory on the minimap. In Kyovashad, the feature is located between your loot chest and the weapon merchant.
With the Armory, you have the ability to easily switch between your builds. This is particularly useful when you use different builds for farming and the pit in the endgame.
