On the Xbox version of ARK: Survival Evolved, a major update is coming – and 100 new servers are also on the way.
Lack of Space Due to Overcrowding
Those who have tried to play ARK on Xbox One in recent weeks have often found that it was basically only possible in offline mode. The 162 PvE servers of the game are completely full at certain times, and even on the 237 PvP servers, it takes patience to secure a spot – those wanting to play with friends have an even harder time.
For this reason, the developers have announced that they will soon launch over 100 new servers to better accommodate the player masses. This is also sorely needed, as Studio Wildcard claims that ARK has already been downloaded over 1 million times on Xbox.
In addition, the first major patch for the console version is coming. This will bring the version just behind the current PC variant and introduces – alongside other things, like numerous bug fixes – the massive kangaroos that allow for easier hopping across the island. Also included are primitive cages and campfires, as well as the correction of some memory leaks that caused crashes on Xbox.
