Is the price increase a preparation for the full release?
Studio Wildcard is currently preparing for the full release of Ark Survival Evolved. The first endgame content has already been brought to the dino MMO. Currently, Ark on PC and Xbox One is still in Early Access – the status of ARK on PS4 is unclear, as Sony generally does not allow “Early Access” games on their platform, but ARK is still waiting for a full release on PS4.
Studio Wildcard states that Ark will be completed “soon” and “in the near future.” An exact date is not yet known.
The price increase of the survival MMO may serve to prepare for the full release. We will learn more about it tomorrow in the E3 stream.

Those who still have Ark on their wishlist can only get the dino MMO at a lower price for a short time.
