The Survival of the StARK
There is quite a bit happening in ARK at the moment. Besides details about the release dates of the dino survival and further plans regarding expansions and content patches, the developers have decided to hold a tournament. A total of $40,000 in prize money was made available by Studio Wildcard, contested by 144 players in teams of 4. The whole event took place in the custom “Survival of the Fittest” mode, which received some modifications, such as this dragon that wreaked havoc on the island:
The outcome of the tournament was relatively amusing, even though the unstoppable power of camping was demonstrated once again. The winner “Box-Guy” has definitely become a living legend in the ARK scene yesterday – as his strategy of hiding in a small box for most of the game earned him first place.
