Tapejara
The Tapejara belongs to the family of reptiles and is a carnivore. This flying dinosaur is more passive and flees when confronted.

Taming the Tapejara
The Tapejara is a shy creature and will flee as soon as you come into its line of sight. It is therefore effective to approach these flying dinosaurs with a “Ghillie Armor.” This allows you to sneak up to about 5 meters from the Tapejara.
Here’s how to knock out the Tapejara: It is best to use a lasso to prevent it from fleeing. Before the effect wears off, shoot it with tranquilizer arrows until it is unconscious. If you are out in a group, you can also attack the Tapejara with Pteranodons. Try to drive the Tapejara into cliffs so that it gets stuck.
This food tames the Tapejara best: The Tapejara prefers to eat better Kibble. As a carnivore, it also likes raw mutton and raw prime meat. Regular meat is also acceptable.
Better Kibble Recipe:
- 1 x Large Egg
- 2 x Lemon
- 2 x Rare Mushroom
- 1 x Cooked Prime Meat
- 1 x Resin
- 5 x Fiber
- 1 x Water
On an official server, you need about 12 to 60 minutes for a level 1 Tapejara. At level 150, taming can take between 90 minutes and 7 hours.
How to Craft the Saddle
To fly the successfully tamed Tapejara, you need a saddle. You can acquire the engram for this at level 55 for 21 points.
In your inventory, you can craft the saddle as follows:
- 260 x Leather
- 180 x Fiber
- 120 x Wood
- 45 x Metal Ingots
Utility of the Tapejara
The Tapejara is one of the few flying dinosaurs that can carry more passengers than just the rider. A total of three people can ride it. This makes it an efficient war bird since the two additional passengers can shoot their weapons.
The Tapejara is also an agile flyer and maneuverable like a helicopter, making it a useful taming aid.
