Argentavis
The Argentavis is a bit slower than the Pteranodon but has more stamina and can carry more creatures. It belongs to the bird family. It is highly aggressive, attacks you directly when you are nearby, and will pursue you as long as you are in sight.
The Argentavis is a scavenger and is attracted to corpses.

Taming the Argentavis
The Argentavis is aggressive and quickly goes on the attack. This makes it easy to knock it out with tranquilizer arrows. Usually, this scavenger is found on mountains, but you can also find it near the beach (especially in the northeast of the island).
It is easier to tame it on the beach because it is more open and there are usually fewer carnivores than in the mountains that could attack you while taming. You can also try to make the Argentavis aggressive and lead it to your base to tame it.
Here’s how to knock out the Argentavis: To tame the Argentavis, shoot a tranquilizer arrow at it. It will fly directly towards you, making it easy to hit it on the head. You should then quickly step to the side to avoid being hit. You will need to repeat this process a few times. Once it has taken enough damage, it will try to fly away quickly. Then you need to shoot it again quickly. When the Argentavis is on the ground, it is ready to be tamed.
This food is most effective for taming the Argentavis: The Argentavis prefers better Kibble. Raw mutton and raw prime meat are also suitable. Raw meat will do in a pinch.

On an official server, you need about 7 to 45 minutes for a level 1 Argentavis. At level 150, it can take between 1 and 6 hours to tame.
How to Craft the Saddle
To fly the successfully tamed Argentavis, you need a saddle. You can acquire the engram for this at level 62 for 21 points.
In your inventory, you can craft the saddle as follows:
- 350 x Leather
- 185 x Fiber
- 150 x Chitin
Utility of the Argentavis
You can use the Argentavis in various areas. It deals decent damage and is a valuable companion in battle. Level up its damage, health, and stamina.
The bird is an excellent transporter, both over short and long distances. Due to its high agility, it can go almost anywhere and also has a decent speed. Heavy goods are not a problem for it. For a top transport Argentavis, level up weight and stamina.
In PvP mode, the Argentavis can kill other players by grabbing them from their mounts and dropping them from great heights. For this, it needs stamina and health.
The Argentavis is helpful in taming other creatures, as it can carry several other dinos and you can hook on to it. Fly over the creature you want to tame, dismount from the Argentavis, and latch on. You can then tame creatures without danger. The bird must be set to “follow” for this. For taming tasks, level up weight, stamina, and health.
