In ARK Survival Evolved, it has been possible to claim abandoned dinos for oneself. That will soon change.
In the dinosaur survival game ARK Survival Evolved, players have the opportunity to keep prehistoric creatures as pets. If players leave a server for an extended period, their tamed dinos remain alone and abandoned. Until now, other survival players were allowed to claim these animals for themselves and adopt them into their dino family. That is about to change.
Server performance is set to be improved
In the future, dinos will simply despawn/die when their owner leaves the server for too long. Additionally, tribes will soon only be able to possess up to 400 tamed creatures. These changes are intended to benefit server performance. Survivors are reacting with mixed feelings to this news. Some are happy that lags will decrease with fewer dinos. Others are sad that the “abandoned dinosaur” hunt will soon be over.
Players will still be able to trade tamed animals. Survivors are allowed to relinquish ownership of the dinos and make them available to other players.
